Proofreading/Technical Editing — Choose this option if you want us to check and correct your spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word choice. Does not include substantial rewriting or reorganizing.
- $3.00 per page for manuscripts that are mostly text. Rates will be higher, up to $10.00 per page, for extensive charts, graphs, tables, or highly specialized vocabulary, or for “works cited” or “references” pages.
Copyediting – We help you express your ideas more clearly and forcefully, and we will suggest ways to reorganize your material if necessary.
- $5.00 per page for text. Rates will be higher for extensive charts, graphs, tables, or highly specialized vocabulary, or for “works cited” or “references” pages.
Developmental Editing — We can work from your ideas or research to help you develop a new document. (Not available for academic papers.)
- We prefer to do developmental editing on an hourly rate, based on $30 per hour. Email us a description of the project, and we’ll provide an estimate.
Coaching — The base rate is $25 for detailed explanations of three areas you can work on to improve your writing. Custom packages are available.
SAT Essays – The base rate is $30 to critique and offer suggestions on three sample SAT essays.
College Entrance Essays — The base rate is $50 to work with you through three stages: idea development, copy editing, and final proofreading. Custom packages are available.

Estimating Your Payment — Count your pages in 12 point type, double spaced. Or estimate 300 words per page.
Minimum Charge — $25.00.
Completion Time – Short projects (under 6 pages) can usually be done within 24 hours. For longer projects, we will provide an expected completion date after we see your work.
